服务

1. 动物 & the Environment

可接受服务的例子:西雅图公园的垃圾车 & 矩形, volunteer with ZooCorps, gardening projects with 西雅图 Tilth Alliance, environmental restoration with EarthCorps, volunteer with 西雅图 Aquarium Youth Advocates.

不能接受的服务:帮邻居或朋友遛狗或照看宠物, 在没有与非营利组织联系的情况下，在社区/公园捡垃圾, making dog toys at home for the Humane Society, fostering a pet at home, 为一个环保非营利组织筹款. 

2. Children (middle-school age or younger)

注意:这必须在非营利组织的指导下进行，不能与家庭或主教布兰切特的学生或团队一起进行. Students must work directly with children. 提供不涉及与儿童互动的帮助是不可接受的.

可接受服务的例子:在小学辅导学生, coaching a team through the Boys & Girls Club/CYO, assisting with Sunday school at church.

不能接受的服务:打扫小学教室, being a team manager for a 全国最大的彩票平台 sport, helping a younger sibling/friend with homework, babysitting younger cousins/family, coordinating a school supply drive, working a fundraising event for a school. 

3. The Elderly or Mentally/Physically Disabled 

注意:这必须在非营利组织的指导下进行，不能在主教布兰切特或为家庭. Students must work directly with the elderly, individuals with physical or intellectual challenges, or people living with illness. 不涉及互动的援助是不可接受的.

可接受的服务的例子:拜访养老院或辅助生活设施的居民, assisting athletes at Special Olympics, hosting a movie night for families at Ronald McDonald House, volunteering with Aaron’s place.

不被接受的服务例子:帮助年老的邻居打理花园, caring for a sick or ill family member, organizing a storage closet at a nursing home, participating in Relay for Life, 为残疾人之家筹款. 

4. People Experiencing Poverty

这必须在非营利组织的指导下进行.

可接受的服务的例子:在巴拉德食品银行分类捐赠，在圣. Martin de Porres避难所，在Teen Feed餐厅做饭和服务，帮助客人在St. 弗朗西斯的房子.

不能接受服务的例子:在家里做三明治，然后把它们送到市中心的人那里, coordinating a food drive in the neighborhood, giving money to a collection at church, participating in a charity run/walk, working a fundraising event for a shelter.

Ten service hours must be entered in  移动服务 by January 2, 2024. All 20 hours must be entered in MobileServe by 2024年5月6日.

• Students may not miss school to earn service hours

• Independently organized projects will not be accepted (i.e. 在家做食物然后分发到市区，帮助邻居).

• Family members cannot verify hours.

• 在未列入批准名单的组织中做志愿者的学生, will need to submit the Approval Request Form, 并由服务协调员批准，然后在活动中服务. 参加未经事先批准的活动的学生可能会被拒绝参加活动.

There are two ways to get hours approved.

• An email address of your supervisor while doing the service 

• GeoTag verifying your location at the time of the service

• Signature from your supervisor at the service location

• Picture of you doing the service
